Draft certificates help in getting paid

We’ve all had that unnerving moment when we hand over the inspection report for an empty property, or the certificate for a new build - will we get paid for this?

I’m sure the temptation of withholding the final certification has crossed all our minds at some stage, but it just doesn’t seem right and legally I’d say you might be on a sticky wicket.

Watermarking a draft copy

PIRform has a feature that allows you to watermark your reports/certificates. This enables you to hand over a version of the certificate to your client in order for you to get paid, and then issue the final certificate when the funds are sitting cosily in your bank.
The watermark tool to do this is in the print preview section of PIRform, next to the pdf export buttons and has many options and styles to get the message across.

Whilst it may not be the best answer to this heinous crime of not paying for our hard work, it’s certainly a step in the right direction.
