PIRform automatically prints circuits & test results on one landscape page. This makes it easier to read all the details for a circuit.
However, you may prefer to print on two separate pages, or it may be a requirement of a specifier. We’re happy to say you can do this!
Here is the normal landscape version:
And here is how to print on two separate pages:
And here is the result:

PIRform now gives you the option to print circuit charts, to place at the consumer unit, or distribution board in accordance with Regulation 514.9. PIRform’s charts are the only printed chart to fully comply with the requirements of this Regulation.

You will also see, that no matter how much information you want to add to the designation, PIRform has no restrictions on text entry, no need to abbreviate, or leave vital information out.

PIRform will automatically print these charts at the back of the report, but you have an option to turn this feature off, this can be found by doing the following.

Printing circuit charts adds weight and professionalism to your reports, your clients will have a better understanding and more information about their installation. Not to mention easier for you or your colleagues when you return.

The Board Manager is our unique way of handling all the boards, board locations, supply circuits, engineers, test instruments and test dates. From one place, you can change any of the information relating to the boards in your installation.
Where is it?
The Board Manager is found here:

And looks like this when opened, this installation has 42 boards, and can be managed entirely from here:

If you want to change information about any of the boards details, such as the engineer, then simply select another engineer from your list as shown, the test instruments associated to that engineer will then automatically change. No need to navigate to the board in question, do it here.

Now let’s say that you want to change where a particular board is supplied from, do it here too.

Even changing the date a board was tested can do changed from here:

There are times when we have entered circuit details into the wrong way. Previously you would have deleted the circuit details and had to re-enter it, nightmare!
We have introduced circuit moving, so there’s no need to delete circuit details ever again.
With 2 clicks of the mouse, the circuit is moved.

To change PIRform’s options, click the application button on the home screen:

Then click on the button “PIRform Options”:

You will then see the options dialog that looks something like this:

If you want to save any changes you make, click OK when you’re finished. If you don’t want to save any changes you have made, click Cancel.

PIRform needs a component from Microsoft to be able to work on your computer. This component is called the Dotnet Framework. If you do not have the Dotnet Framework installed when you install PIRform then PIRform will tell you that you need to go and get it first.
Windows has a built in update facility that you can use to keep your copy of Windows updated, it’s called Windows Update and you can find it in Control Panel (click the Start button to find Control Panel).
You can use Windows Update to install the Dotnet Framework for you. To do this, go into Windows Update and let it scan for updates. Then select the Software, Optional category on the left of the screen and tick the option to install the Dotnet Framework on the right. It will start with “Microsoft .NET Framework”.
After this just click Install Updates in Windows Update and follow the instructions. When this has completed you will be able to install PIRform (you might be asked to restart your computer before it’s ready).
